QTIC-Y is a new project founded by the Queensland Tourism Industry Council. It is a Generation Y tourism network linking tourism students, employees, entrepreneurs and stakeholders. The network will encompass all sectors of the tourism industry, including tour operators, accommodation, travel, events and more. QTIC-Y will endeavour to strive for positive changes in the industry while working on issues affecting or of importance to Generation Y. The network has three main objectives:

November: Student from "Bridging the Gap" successfully gets a job offer. October: A very successfull "Bridging the Gap" event was held. This was a 'speed job interview' session involving 80 students and 20 employers. 17 September: The QTIC-Y steering committee has now been formed and the inaugural steering committee meeting will be held at the QTIC offices on 25th September 17 September: Our newly designed QTIC-Y Gazette (our monthly newsletter) is out. 16 September: Welcome to our 200th member! 16 September: QTIC-Y attended the UQ Mile event 28 May: Welcome to our 125th member!
