Monday, 15 February 2010 |
The Sustainable Tourism Cooperative Research Centre (STCRC) has released a report into the new research exploring Australian consumers' ‘choice' behaviours when presented with domestic and overseas ‘destination' and ‘experience' holidays options.
A feature of the research, ‘Modelling Australian tourism consumers' choice of holiday destination and experience' is the development, delivery and analysis of an online survey completed by almost 4000 respondents which has resulted in the researchers delivering 16 key findings.
The results confirm the importance of initial impressions of a destination as a key influence on the consumer's ultimate travel decision. This report is likely to be of particular interest to destination managers, major operators and senior marketing, planning and development practitioners.
