What is QTIC Skills Link
QTIC Skills Link has primary responsibility for the identification of industry training needs and the associated distribution of government funding across industry and occupational areas and across geographical regions. In Queensland, decisions regarding VET funding are made by the Department of Employment and Training (DET). QTIC Skills Link significantly influences the distribution of the funding that is made available for our industry by DET.
Quality Assurance
Assist public and private training providers in the development and subsequent delivery of training programs.
Accreditation
The Australian Hospitality Review Panel (AHRP)
The Australian Tourism Training Review Panel (ATTRP)
The panel is made up of industry representatives and is managed by QTIC Skills Link. They were established to grant industry recognition to training providers and trainers who practice high industry standards.
QTIC Skills Link maintains strong links with the National Skills Council, Service Skills Australia. We work to ensure that the interests of Queensland's Tourism, Hospitality, Caravanning and Wine Industries training needs are recognised and integrated into both state and national priorities. We also have representation on the National Tourism Alliance policy working group: Educations and Training.
