Skills Link

Our Vision

To assist in the growth & sustainability of Queensland's tourism and hospitality industry by providing strategic leadership through industry intelligence affecting future directions for learning and innovation, in training delivery and assessment standards, and the provision of local and global trend watching.

What are the roles and priorities of the QTIC Skills Link?

QTIC Skills Link has the primary responsibility to implement the Tourism and Hospitality Skills Alliance for the identification of industry training needs and emerging industry trends to assit the Queensland Government in guiding Government policy and in influencing public funding for training.

Within the QTIC structure, Skills Link will be well placed to facilitate greater coordination of effort between training providers, employers and also employees and students. At a time when skill shortages and labour market issues are starting to affect many parts of the industry, this new role will play an essential part of our strategic industry support. QTIC will also actively engage in national training initiatives through the restructured Industry Skills Councils.
