Game Changing Priorities for the Future of Tourism in Queensland
The QTIC Game Changing Priorities for the Future of Tourism in Queensland summarises the views put to us by industry and articulates our recommendations to policy decision makers. It is our firm belief that this document is the basis for a strong industry consensus and it will provide a platform for actions and partnerships that will lead to a brighter future for tourism and Queensland.
We presented the priorities at the QTIC Pre Awards forum on 4 November and also had an opportunity subsequently to discuss the document with the Regional Tourism Organisation (RTO) Managers. They expressed unanimous support for the approach and we thank all of them for their cooperative spirit.
The document has since then also been presented to the state government's Strategic Tourism Action Group (STAG) which brings together senior representatives of all relevant departments for the purpose of drafting the next state government Tourism Action Plan.
QTIC will distribute and discuss this document with Government and Opposition.
