The QTIC Board has welcomed one new face, and two returning faces, with the election taking place as part of yesterday’s Annual General Meeting (AGM).

Incumbent Board members Denise Brown, from Brisbane Airport Corporation, and Peter Savoff, from Emporium Hotel, were re-elected.

Board new-comer Cameron Costello, from Quandamooka Yoolooburrabee Aboriginal Corporation, now takes up the vacant position left by resigning Board member Mark Mugnaioni. Cameron is also QTIC’s first Indigenous Board member.

Denise, Peter and Cameron join continuing Board Members:

  • Shane O’Reilly

  • Bridget Woods

  • Laura Younger

  • Mark Skinner

  • Stuart Mackenzie

  • Craig Turner

  • Annie Judd

QTIC Chief Executive Daniel Gschwind said QTIC members should be thrilled by the wealth of experience the three elected Board members bring to the table.

“We thank all the nominees who have shown an interest in working with QTIC. And we congratulate those who have been elected to serve on the board for the next term,” he said.

“The commitment of senior of industry people to shaping the future of tourism in Qld is critical to our work and very much appreciated by the industry.”
