Applications open for the 2019 QTIC Young Professionals Mentoring Program

QTIC Young Professionals Mentoring Program offers a competitive edge to employees working in the tourism and hospitality industry that are 35 years or younger. 

The popular six-month program will run from February to July 2019 and will see mentees matched with senior industry representatives willing to share their knowledge, insight, industry understanding and some career-boosting confidence. 

QTIC Chief Executive Daniel Gschwind said tourism is driven by skilled peeople who can respond to the challenges the future holds.

"Supporting young talent is a necessity and great opportunity for our industry," he said.

"To build the knowledgeable and skilled workforce our industry needs we want to tap into the expereince of current tourism leaders and profressionals.

"The QTIC Young Professionals Mentoring Program gives us an opportunity to connect the up-and-coming generation with some highly-experienced mentors who can inject new inspiration and direction to their careers."

2018 mentee Mike Richardson said: "The mentoring program was a really valuable experience – allowing me to evaluate where I am in my career and help identify how I need to develop to achieve my goals in the tourism industry.”
