Build loyalty, attract more visitors and strengthen your reputation as a tourism business that values inclusivity and accessibility.
The Accessible Tourism program is a practical online toolkit designed to help your business assess and improve the accessibility of your visitor experience. Whether you’re just starting your accessibility journey or building on existing initiatives, the program provides clear guidance to help you identify simple, low cost improvements that can make a meaningful difference for guests of all abilities.
Through the toolkit, your business can explore opportunities to strengthen guest communication, physical access, service delivery and staff confidence, helping you create more welcoming experiences and open your business to a wider range of visitors.
The program is suitable for businesses of all sizes and does not require specialist accessibility expertise. If your business is accredited through the Sustainable Tourism, you can register and begin the Accessible Tourism program at any time via the Quality Tourism Australia portal.
For more information, download the Accessible Tourism program guide.

Your stamp of recognition!
As your business progresses through the program, you’ll receive permission to display the Accessible Tourism badge, helping visitors easily recognise your commitment to creating more inclusive and welcoming experiences.
The badge demonstrates that your business is actively working towards greater accessibility and inclusion, while accreditation is awarded only when the essential criteria for each individual support category has been successfully met.
Businesses with Sustainable Tourism or Star Ratings accreditation can register and begin the Accessible Tourism program at any time via the Quality Tourism Australia portal.
