How your business can get involved

Provide students with hands-on industry experience and help them develop practical skills by offering short-term work placements. Work experience is a great way to introduce students to the fast-paced, rewarding world of tourism and hospitality.

Work with QTIC to co-create unique, hands-on learning experiences for students and teachers through the Tourism and Hospitality Gateway to Industry Schools Program. From site tours and ‘day in the life’ immersions to mocktail making, cookery skills sessions, bed-making competitions, events operations, workshops and more — your involvement helps showcase real-world career pathways and inspire the next generation of industry talent.

Enhance educators’ industry knowledge by hosting or participating in Regional Gateway Days — specialised professional development events that build stronger links between education and industry.

Help educators stay up to date with industry trends by hosting or participating in Gateway Days – professional development events designed to strengthen the connection between education and industry.

Support the program by contributing sponsorships, prizes, scholarships, or in-kind donations such as venue space, equipment, or catering for events. Your business will gain exposure while investing in the future of the industry!
