Joel has guided for reputable tour companies nationwide, trained fellow guides, and led group adventures as a qualified Outdoor Instructor.

He is a two-time winner of the Queensland Top Tour Guide Award, taking gold in both 2023 and 2025. Joel is the founder of Joel’s Journeys, a Quality Tourism and Sustainable Tourism accredited business he launched from Noosa, Queensland in 2021.
