Destination IQ 2023

Over 280 delegates from across Australia and various backgrounds gathered in Gimuy, Cairns, for the 2023 Destination IQ conference.

Queensland’s annual premier First Nations tourism conference, Destination IQ, proudly supported by the Queensland Government and Tourism and Events Queensland, featured local artists exhibiting their work alongside conversations led by prominent First Nations voices in tourism.

The conference inspired, challenged, and connected attendees who listened to panelists discuss a wide range of topics, from enhancing sustainability and improving accessibility for guests with disabilities to developing export-ready products and elevating First Nations culture and art leading up to the 2032 Brisbane Games.

Continuously evolving, the Destination IQ conference grows each year as a key event for learning from the oldest living cultures on Earth and staying updated on the latest ideas, trends, and innovations propelling the growth of First Nations tourism in Queensland.
