The Sunshine Coast is set to play host to tourism industry leaders from across the state, with three major tourism events taking place within the region this November.

Tourism Industry Development Minister, Kate Jones, confirmed today that the DestinationQ Forum
will be held at Novotel Twin Waters Resort, alongside the Queensland Tourism Awards gala ceremony, and QTIC's 9th annual Indigenous Tourism Forum.

Together, these events will represent the largest tourism industry gathering in Queensland. This year will also be the third year these events have been scheduled in the same week and are expected to attract more than 600 visitors to the Sunshine Coast.

Minster Jones says these events will provide invaluable opportunities for tourism operators.

"Having the tourism industry's biggest players all on the Sunshine Coast will provide an opportunity to consult with the best in the business about new strategies"

“This will give us an opportunity to consult the best in the business about new strategies to grow this sector in the future," Ms. Jones said.
