Bowen
Bowen, the home of secluded beaches, is the hidden gem at the top of the Whitsundays. The town has eight secluded beaches and is one of very few places in Queensland where you can snorkel directly off the beach. It is the perfect place for a family getaway. Bowen is famous for mangoes and is also known as the food bowl of the north, producing winter crops including tomatoes and capsicums. The Big Mango, 5km south of the town, was named the Top Tourist Attraction in the Whitsundays in 2022.
